The 80s really were something else — big hair, bold colours, questionable jumpers and absolutely no fear of shoulder pads. 😂

We might be a fairly young church, but judging by these photos… we would’ve absolutely smashed church fashion in 1985. 😎⛪️

Are you willing to be willing?

Sometimes we know what God is asking of us, but if we’re honest, we don’t feel ready—or even willing—to do it.

Faith doesn’t require us to pretend. We can bring our reluctance to God and pray:
“God, I may not be willing yet, but I’m willing for You to change my heart. Give me the desire and courage to follow You.”

God doesn’t only help us act; He works within us to make us willing.

“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfil his good purpose.”

— Philippians 2:13

As we begin our new series, Crossing Over, Adam encouraged us to make space and ask God what moving from HERE to THERE might look like for each of us.
1️⃣ What do I need to leave HERE in order to start the journey THERE?
2️⃣ What is God asking me to do to GET READY?
3️⃣ Where do I need COURAGE to take the next step?
You don’t need to see the whole journey. Ask God to show you the next step—and remember, He will be with you wherever you go.

Strength and courage are essential for God-led change. Repeatedly commanded in scripture, 'Be strong and courageous' is key to overcoming fear and discouragement on your journey.

When things go wrong, my immediate response is Psalm 51:1: 'Lord, have mercy on me.' It's the only honest prayer when we mess up. It acknowledges our unworthiness but trusts in His compassion.
