𝗔 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗹𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘅𝘀𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲!
It was the first Sunday of the month, the sun was shining and what better way to bring people together than with the sound of 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝘆 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱!
Led by Simon Scott, the band presented a lively medley of songs as people gathered around the Triangle to listen. Today’s selection, “𝙂𝙤𝙙’𝙨 𝙇𝙤𝙫𝙚,” is a familiar and upbeat number that many of you will probably recognise — although perhaps with some very different words! 😄
This video is a little different from our previous posts because, on this occasion, we get the rare opportunity to hear the band singing as well as playing!

We are also delighted to welcome our Territorial Leaders, Commissioners Paul and Jenine Main, as they lead us through our anniversary weekend.

The Saturday evening event (10th October) is completely free, but we would appreciate it if you could reserve a ticket so that we can make the appropriate arrangements.

Sunday worship will also feature the TMS Chorus, our own Songsters (choir), and our Territorial Leaders.

𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆
Although there was no live '𝘊𝘩𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦' today, we wanted to share this uplifting moment recorded a few weeks ago.
It was a beautiful sunny Sunday lunchtime in coastal Felixstowe, with many visitors enjoying the weekend atmosphere. In the middle of it all, the Salvation Army Band played one of our favourite hymns, '𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘒𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴, 𝘔𝘢𝘫𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘺.'
The chorus line, “𝘐𝘯 𝘳𝘰𝘺𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘦𝘴 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦,” never fails to move the spirit — a reminder of grace, humility and the love that reaches every heart willing to pause and listen.

We’re grateful to all who stopped for a moment that day, whether to enjoy the music, reflect quietly, or simply soak in the blessing of the moment.
We hope to meet you in person at a future gathering.

What a joy to celebrate our young people today!

Several of our church family had the privilege of supporting our wonderful young people who have spent the week at EYSS ’26 — our Divisional Summer School.

With opportunities to take part in sport, vocal and brass band activities (to name a few), it’s been a week filled with worship, fun, learning and growth. This afternoon’s celebration gave us just a glimpse of all they’ve experienced, but it was clear to see how much they have grown and gone deeper in their relationship with Jesus. 🙏

We’re so grateful to all the incredible staff who have invested their time, energy and gifts into our young people throughout the week. Thank you for helping create such a special space for them to grow in faith, confidence and community.

And a very special thank you to Ruth, one of our Youth Specialists, for all the work that goes into making a week like this happen. We’re so grateful for you! 💙

𝗕𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹
Today at The Felixstowe Triangle, something rather special happened.
As The Salvation Army Band, led by Simon Scott, played the beautiful hymn "𝘽𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡, 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙤𝙧𝙙", people paused in the middle of their busy Sunday afternoon. For a few precious moments, the usual bustle of the High Street gave way to a sense of peace and quiet reflection.
The words, "𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙮 𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚," seemed especially fitting. It was one of those moments when hearts were gently lifted, minds turned towards God, and the presence of the Holy Spirit seemed to bring calm and hope to everyone who stopped to listen.
Originally written by 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝗝. 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗻𝘀 in 1985–86, this much-loved hymn continues to remind us that God meets us wherever we are—even in the middle of a busy town centre.

𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬 - 𝗙𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗫𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗪𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗟𝗘!

Our Songsters (choir) and Brass Band have now taken a well-earned break from rehearsals for the summer, but we’ve enjoyed some wonderful times together over the past week.

While our primary purpose as musical groups is to support the mission of our church and help lead worship on Sundays, we also value the friendships we share and the opportunity to spend time together beyond rehearsals.

Last week, the Songsters shared fish and chips together whilst this week the Band gathered for a summer BBQ, with some members even trying their hand at axe throwing! It was a great chance to relax, have fun, and enjoy time with families and friends.

We’re looking forward to getting back to making music together soon. The Songsters return to rehearsals on the final Thursday of August, with the Band returning at the beginning of September.

Until then, we wish everyone a happy and restful summer! ☀️🎶
