Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Our Lady of Mount Carmel Our Catholic parish welcomes all people without distinction.

Since 1937 our church has been a place of prayer, community and service, where searching, aching hearts have opened themselves to the inclusive, welcoming God of Jesus - alone and with others.

The British Province of Carmelites is deeply saddened to hear of the death of Pope Francis. We give thanks for his faithful witness to the Gospel, his tireless advocacy for the poor and marginalised, and his deep commitment to peace, dialogue, and care for creation. His papacy has been a profound source of inspiration and hope for the Church and the world.
We entrust him to the loving mercy of God, and we pray that he may now rest in the peace of Christ.
