Today, we held a special thanksgiving service led by Rev Philip Simpkins 🙏⛪️, celebrating his enormous contribution to the life of our church over the past seven years.

Philip will be greatly missed, but we wish him every happiness and success as he begins his new role. Thank you, Philip, for everything you have done for our church community! 💐💛

Yesterday’s service included a very special celebration as Pat and John Brown marked their incredible 70th wedding anniversary! 💍🥂

Heather made a beautiful cake for everyone to enjoy, and the lovely flowers were shared among members of the congregation.

Warmest congratulations to Pat and John on 70 wonderful years of marriage! 💐🎂

It was a pleasure to welcome Sara Badger, who led our service this week. 🌼 We explored how weeds aren’t always “bad” – sometimes they’re simply growing in the wrong place! 🌱 They can even play an important role in preparing the ground so other plants can flourish. A wonderful reminder that God can use things we might overlook. 💚

🎨 Our children enjoyed their final Explorers Sunday School session before the summer break! ☀️ They looked at how we can make good use of what we have and had lots of fun revisiting some of their favourite crafts from across the year. 🖍️✂️ It was a lovely way to celebrate a fantastic term together!

⛪️✨ This week we were delighted to welcome Rev Stephen Thornton, and we really appreciated his thought-provoking message, especially as he explored the history of how the Church came to be divided over the centuries.

👷‍♂️🏠 In Sunday School, our children learnt about Jesus’ parable of the Wise and Foolish Builders. They enjoyed hearing the story, thinking about how we can build our lives on strong foundations, and had lots of fun playing games as we head towards the summer holidays! ☀️🎲
