⛪ Church Service This Week

We were blessed to welcome Rev. Nick Oborski to lead our service this week. We are so thankful for his message and for the encouragement and wisdom he shared with us. 🙏

🌟 Children’s Church

This week, the children explored the story of Abraham and discovered how his journey teaches us to trust God, even when we cannot see what will happen next.

Just as Abraham trusted God and followed His guidance, we are reminded that we can put our faith in Him, even when the future is uncertain. ❤️

A wonderful reminder for all of us to keep trusting God, one step at a time!

💒💕 What a joyful day at The Spire Church!

We were delighted to welcome Ellie and Will, together with their family and friends, as they celebrated their wedding with us.

The church looked absolutely beautiful, and it was wonderful to see it filled with so much happiness and celebration. We wish Ellie and Will every happiness as they begin married life together. ❤️

⛪ This week we welcomed Rev Stephen Thornton to the Spire Church. We’re grateful for the message he shared with us. 🙏

In Sunday School, the children learnt about the Tower of Babel. We talked about using our talents well while remembering that no one person is more important than anyone else. 🧱🌟

🌾 This week we welcomed Rev Helen Everard, who led our Harvest Festival service. Thank you to everyone who brought donations. They’re all going to Farnham Foodbank. 💛

In Explorers, the children learned about Cain and Abel. We talked about how everyone feels jealous sometimes, but we can choose what to do with that feeling and try to do the right thing. 🌱

This week’s service was kindly arranged by Steve, Alison and Maggie, and we heard the story of Jonah. 🐋

Our children in Explorers learnt about Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden and made their own little hydroponic gardens! 🌱🍃

There have recently been some negative posts on social media concerning our friends in the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, whose headquarters have been based in Tilford since 1984. We stand alongside them as people of deep faith and valued members of our wider community.

Recently, some of our members were invited to their Peace Dinner at Farnham Heath End School, and it was a truly lovely evening. 💕

The Ahmadiyya Muslim faith promotes peace and love. Its motto is “Love for All, Hatred for None,” and our experience is that its members genuinely live by these words. They have raised millions of pounds for charitable causes and helped to save All Saints Church in Tilford when it required major repairs. They have also raised £10,000 each for St Polycarp’s School in Farnham, towards a new playground, and St James Primary School in Elstead, for nursery improvements.

Their contribution to the community also includes street cleaning, clearing snow, planting trees, donating to food banks and hygiene banks, supporting elderly people, selling poppies for the Royal British Legion, and much more.

The Ahmadiyya Muslims are people of God, and we are proud to stand with them and support them with our love and prayers.

🎉 This Sunday, we celebrated eight years together as The Spire Church!

We were delighted to welcome back Rev Dr Michael Hopkins, who led our anniversary service and shared his inspiring message with us.

Our wonderful choir helped make the celebration extra special, filling the service with beautiful music. 🎶

Our Explorers children learned about the story of Creation and had great fun learning some new songs too! 🎶🌍
