On Sunday 17th May 2026) Carnkie Methodist Church organised a local arrangement Songs of Praise service featuring favourite hymns, poems, readings and faith journeys.
The church family presented Mrs Pat Congdon with a certificate of long service and appreciation, as well as a silver celtic cross broach, flowers and thank you card as she retires from her roles as both secretary and treasurer.
In 2010 the small yet loyal Church family moved from the old church premises to the village hall where they are part of the integral community.
Mrs Congdon who still continues her work in other roles in the local church and circuit is part of this welcoming congregation in rural Cornwall.
