We are an Orthodox Community that is part of the Greek Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain (Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople) serving

to any Orthodox Christians or simply those who have an interest in the oldest form of Christianity with roots that go back to the Holy Apostles. Our Community's Patron Saint Holy and Glorious Hieromartyr and our Father among the saints Bishop Kessog is Venerated and Commemorated on the March 10. Kessog was martyred at Bandry, just to the south of Luss, about 520 - 30 A.D. on March 10. This Holy Bishop, Confessor and Glorious Martyr was venerated, and not unmeritedly, in the churches in Scotland and Ireland throughout the many centuries. There, while he was living on earth, as his main longing he sought out the true way of living for ever in heaven. Kessog was in fact one of the very first Christian missionaries and confessors in Scotland and he became one of the first martyrs in Scotland.

This Sunday, 2nd November after Liturgy, we invite you to stay for a short talk: "Depictions of fear and faith in the New Testament: Questions for every journey".

James Cox will introduce the topic, exploring how fear can both bridge and block our paths of faith - in life and relationships.

We hope to see you there.

It was an immense honour to welcome His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas and His Grace Bishop Raphael of Ilion to our recently formed community. Their presence was a great blessing, and we are deeply touched by their support. The words of wisdom of His Eminence Archbishop Nikitas resonated deeply within our hearts, and we are grateful for his prayers and blessings. We are also thankful for the love received from our brothers and sisters in Christ from Edinburgh as they joined our Bridegroom Matins. We are truly humbled and blessed to have had them with us as we started the Holy Week. 🙏🏼💗☦️

We wanted to inform you that the heating system in church is currently awaiting essential parts for repairs. As a result, the church may be cooler than usual for Sunday liturgy. We kindly ask everyone attending to dress warmly to ensure your comfort during the liturgy.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as work to resolve this issue is being carried out.

Leading up to our celebratory event on the 30th of November, we are offering a 5-day iconography course in Cambridge led by Joseph Craveiro at the professional art studio of Westminster College, Cambridge.
This course is designed to immerse students in the fundamental and advanced techniques of Byzantine Iconography. Participants will explore various aspects of ancient techniques, such as painting with egg tempera and gilding with gold leaf, culminating in a comprehensive understanding and practical application of this ancient art form. At the end of the five days, students will finish their own icon of the face of Christ along with a certificate awarded by the institute to serve as a recognition of their efforts and completion of the course.
