It was wonderful to have The Rt Revd Graham Usher, Bishop of Norwich, in Fakenham today.

Bishop Graham celebrated for the FIRST time, the Festival of Creation in Christ.

In his stirring sermon, he urged us to respond to the call on us to work to restore a fractured and broken world. Restoring our relationship with God, moving us towards unity, with each other, our neighbours, and a harmony with creation.

Someone took a lovely picture of us today, from a 32 metre high aerial platform!

Our lovely friends at Fakenham Fire station had an open day, and lots of us went along to see all the amazing things they do, keeping us safe and responding when we need them.

Two intrepid Community First Responders, Dee and Katie, clearly have a head for heights, as they ascended in the aerial platform in the care of Steve, of the Norfolk Fire & Rescue Service. Rather them than us!

Congratulations to our local teams for an excellent and informative day. And thank you, for all you do for us.

We love supporting people through the big events that happen in their lives.

Everyone who is christened into the church family at Fakenham receives a shell. A reminder of the day they were baptised in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Each shell is unique, just like the person. Can you see the eye in the inside of this shell?

The Bishop of Norwich, The Rt Revd Graham Usher, is celebrating a brand new Festival in the Church of England at Fakenham Parish Church, this coming Sunday 6 Sept at 10am.

The Festival of Creation in Christ, honouring God’s creation and humanity’s responsibility to care for it, marks the beginning of the Season of Creation.

All are welcome.

Come and see our home town, fabulous band THE FAKENHAM UKES.

Following last year’s wonderful afternoon of music, the Ukes are returning for a FREE concert on Sat 26 September. There will be a retiring collection if you want to drop some cash in, but we’re all about the gathering and joy of the occasion really.

Come along and bring your friends. The event runs from 2-4pm.
