SJE will be open as part of the town’s Week of Prayer on Tuesday 8th 2-4pm.
Revd Judy will lead prayers at 2pm and 3pm but anyone can drop in, pray and leave at any time.

Almighty God, whose only Son has opened for us a new and living way in your presence: give us pure hearts and steadfast wills to worship you in spirit and truth; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit , one God, now and forever. This week we pray especially for the residents of Orchard Close; for our local schools and community returning to school and work after the holidays; for the communities in Nepal and all affected by the flash flood disaster; for those on our prayer list.

Welcome to Bubblechurch!
We launched this morning with 5 families and enjoyed breakfast, the Dice Game, songs, thank you and sorry prayers, the story of The Lost Sheep told with puppets and a short activity. Other cheeky puppets also put in appearances (with encouragement!) during our songs.
Bubblechurch will happen on the first Sunday of each month 9am for 9.15am and we look forward to growing this lovely fun service for young families.

A few photos of today’s Exmouth Ecumenical Songs of Praise Service held in The Strand. A good crowd made up from all the churches and passers-by. A truly co-operative event: a lovely selection of hymns chosen by members of different churches (including a beautiful one from Penny P representing our Parish), puppets for the children, prayers, a reading and a reflection. Thank you to everyone involved in organising and taking part, and to everyone who came along and sang joyfully. A great way to witness our faith and engage our community.

Almighty God, who called your Church to bear witness that you were in Christ reconciling the world to yourself: help us to proclaim the good news of your love, that all who hear it may be drawn to you; through him who was lifted up on the cross, and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Almighty and everlasting God, you are always more ready to hear than we to pray, and to give more than either we desire or deserve: pour down upon us the abundance of your mercy, forgiving us those things of which our conscience is afraid, and giving us those good things which we are not worthy to ask but through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Thank you Lord for the chance to retreat from a busy life for a few minutes and to be encircled by Your peace and loving care. I thank You that in this way I can be refreshed in love. Amen
