Junior Church fun last Sunday- relay races, Christmas banner making, biscuit decorating.....and it seems the '6 7' craze has reached us too.... it's appearing on biscuits....(what does it mean? I have no idea....)

Two things happening at the Methodist Church this coming Sunday (26th). We also have our usual service starting at 10:30am too, led by Karenza Cordery, on the theme of 'Light'- something we all want more of at this time of year! 🍂☔️
When Karenza's not taking services in churches across our part of Devon, she's a Mum, a member of staff at a local primary school and wild swimmer.
We'll be sharing coffee and home-baked cakes from 11:30, with voluntary donations for Children's Hospice SW. You're welcome to come along to this whether or not you have been to the service.
Children up to 12 are invited to join in with activities in the Methodist Hall while the main service is on - see the blue poster for info.

Today the nativity figures appear to be out for a car ride! We love the angel's joyful expression, and the way Mary has swaddled her baby. :-) Clare Bowden

Tedburn Fair Children's Tent: Thankyou for all the kind offers of crafting materials which have been donated! Just one more request (it would be a lend, doesn't have to be donated)- a bubble machine! It doesn't have to look like the picture, but anything battery operated would be great.

Another beautiful day of weather today, but it will still feel different for each of us- some love the sun, others maybe not so much! In this month's First Thoughts, I'm reflecting on the challenge of finding joy in any circumstances...

What does 'joy' mean to you? A statistic on the radio got me thinking about it, and inspired First Thoughts for the month of August.

We run a Junior Church most Sunday mornings, with small group activities for children aged up to 14ish. Children are welcome to come with an adult or by themselves, for craft, games, stories and a chance to think about a Christian theme. It's on this morning from 11am, at the Methodist Church (next to primary school).
We meet at 11am in the main church, for the start of the regular service, and then go into the hall for activities from 11:10-12.
