As well as having its own chapel, the Chaplaincy has also has a library (from which you are welcome to borrow books), a TV lounge, a large meeting room and its very own bar (the cheapest bar on campus). The extensive gardens are often used for barbecues and parties in the summer. The Chaplaincy also provides student accommodation at a very good rate! Michael Wheaton and his primary role is to enco

urage, represent, and support the Catholic community in the university. In addition to offering the sacraments, Fr. Michael is available to any student who would like to talk to him on a one-to-one basis. Michael is an excellent cook and every week during term time helps to prepare the food for lunch after Sunday Mass. Maria Giannone is Fr. Michael’s assistant. Her role is to ensure the smooth-running of weekly events, organise volunteers for the various ministries in the Chaplaincy, and to provide opportunities for students to grow in their Catholic Faith. The Chaplaincy is also home to the student-led Catholic Society, better known as Cath Soc. The Cath Soc committee organise weekly events such as quiz nights, film and pizza nights, pub crawls, barbeques, and speakers.
