Exeter Quakers will hold a Meeting for Worship 10.45-11.15 to remember both Hiroshima and Nagasaki on Sunday 9 August by the Japanese Peace Tree at the top of Southernhay, Exeter. A cymbal will crash at 11.02 to symbolise the Bomb. Exeter’s Lord Mayor will attend. All are welcome.

The meeting room of Come to Good Quaker Meeting south of Truro offers an opportunity to feel the depth of Quaker worship since the seventeenth century. Where horses used to be tethered, I parked my bike. Meanwhile in Truro Cathedral with the Choir of Holy Cross, Crediton, we sing Evensong every day except Saturday until Sunday.

Crediton Palestine Group, including Quakers, held an awareness raising event on Crediton Town Square with Palestinian food. We gathered 28 Yes dots, 47 names on our petition, 12 handwritten letters to local MPs, with many who were supportive and a few who were angry.
