Web page:www.meditationinexeter.org Kadampa Meditation Centre Exeter (formerly Pure Land Buddhist Centre) was established in 1995 and is part of the New Kadampa Tradition of Mahayana Buddhism, founded by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. We are located in St James, Exeter, within 20 minutes walking distance of the City Centre and close to the University and St James Park train station. We are home t
o a small residential community who share a similar wish to make their lives meaningful by finding lasting peace and happiness from within and helping others to do the same. The Centre is open to the public and has a beautiful meditation room overlooking a sunny back garden providing a place of peace and tranquillity in the heart of the city. Whether you wish to try meditation for the first time, learn about Buddha’s teachings or follow a spiritual path we offer a range of classes and events at the Centre and in other towns in Devon. These include weekly classes and chanted prayers, and regular courses, events, and retreats at the weekends. The teachings are presented in an accessible manner that can be easily integrated into our modern busy lives. Our aim is to help people from all backgrounds and walks of life find inner peace in their lives. Whatever your level of interest, you are most welcome to attend any of our courses.
