I realised that it was ages since I posted anything about the Chaplaincy on Facebook, and so decided to post a cheerful news item to say that on September 10th I found a shop filled with Christmas decorations. Just over a hundred days to go!
However, one of the chaplains came across several distressed staff after an "incident". And this highlights one of the chaplains' roles --- to be a comforter for staff who are distressed after a shock at work or at home or on the streets, staff who have been racially abused, shops where there have been threatening shoplifters, staff upset by the corporate managers.
