As it is Thursday I thought I'd just mention this again:

We are having to rethink what we can do, so after our summer break the Good News Café will still be open on the first and third Thursday morning of each month between 10:30 - 12:00 - starting back on Thursday 17th September.

However, we are having to reduce the frequency of our Kids' Swap Shop to only once during each half term. It will be open on the morning of Thursday September 17th and Thursday November 5th between 10:30 - 12:00.

We are sorry to do this but our able volunteers aren't getting any younger...

The Exeter Foodbank Foodraiser.

We are hoping (and we do realise that this is a very big ask) to raise £30,000 by the end of our Financial Year (31/10/26).

Every penny of this money will be used to buy food.

Each year we receive a staggering about of support from the good people of Exeter who donate at shops and supermarkets around the city. Community groups and schools all get involved, and offices and workplaces etc too. This brings in a lot of food.

However, each year we need about £18,000 to top up the donations of ambient food (tinned, dried and longlife) and about £12,000 to provide fresh fruit and vegetables to households who need support.

If you would like to donate towards this we would be very grateful.
If you would be willing to share this post, we would also be very appreciative.

The summer may seem like an odd time to be doing this as it is generally quieter at foodbanks because of (a) seasonal work and (b) lower utility costs. But we are preparing for the Autumn and Winter and trying to get ready.
