Sunday 16th August 2026.
This week, our Bible story was called, 'Jesus and the Man who came through the roof'. We found out that, one day, four men brought their friend to see Jesus. Their friend was paralyzed and he was unable to walk, and they wanted to ask Jesus to heal him. However, when they arrived at the house where Jesus was teaching, they found that the house was completely full of people. Then the four friends had an idea! They climbed the steps at the side of the house and went onto the roof. They made a big hole in the roof, and using four strong ropes, they let the man down on his stretcher, right in front of Jesus!
Jesus looked kindly at the man and said “All the wrong things you have ever done are forgiven.” “Forgiven! I’m forgiven!” the man said to himself. “What a happy day!”
Then Jesus said to the man, “Rise up, take your bed, and go back to your house!” Suddenly the man could move his legs and his arms. He was completely healed! He got up, rolled up his mat and carried it out of the room. Everyone in the house was amazed and they praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”
For our craft activity, we made this 'working' model of the Bible story using a brown paper bag!

Sunday 9th August 2026.
This week, our Bible story was titled, 'Jesus and the Man by the Pool'. We found out that, one day, when Jesus was in the city of Jerusalem, he met a man who, for 38 years, had not been able to walk. For most of his life, the man had sat by the Pool of Bethesda hoping to get cured, because it was believed that if the waters of the pool moved, then the first person to get into the pool would be healed!
Jesus asked the man, "Do you want to get well?" But the man replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water stirs. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me!” Then Jesus said to the man, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” And at once the man was healed; he picked up his mat and walked!
For our craft activity, we used tissue paper for the water in this scene from the story, and then coloured in the rest of the picture using watercolour paint sets!

Sunday 26th July 2026.
Our Bible story this week was about 'Jesus and Matthew the Tax Collector'. We learnt that Matthew was a tax collector for the Romans. Often, he would take more money from people than they owed. He would keep the extra money for himself. Jesus told Matthew to follow Him, and straightaway, Matthew left everything and became a follower of Jesus!
For our craft activity, we made this paper plate silver coin!

July Messy Church.
Thursday 23rd July 2026.
Thank you to everyone that came to July Messy Church this week. Our crafts and activities were based on the Bible story about 'Jesus and Zacchaeus'. We found out that, one day, Jesus was passing through the town of Jericho. A rich and dishonest tax collector, called Zacchaeus, wanted to see Jesus. However, Zacchaeus was a small man and he could not see above the crowd. So he climbed up into a sycamore tree so that he could get a better view!
As Jesus approached the tree, He stopped, looked up into the tree, and said, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today!” Jesus and Zacchaeus became friends and Zacchaeus’ life changed completely!
Here are some photos of the 'Jesus and Zacchaeus' crafts and activities that we did.

Sunday 19th July 2026.
This week's Bible story, was called 'Jesus Walks on Water'. After Jesus had fed 5000 people with 5 loaves and 2 fish, He told the disciples to take their boat to the other side of the lake, while He went by himself, up a hill, to pray to His Father, God. While they were crossing the lake, a strong wind and large waves started to rock the boat. Early the next morning, the disciples saw Jesus walking on the water towards them! The disciples thought it was a ghost and they were terrified! But Jesus, said, "It is I. Don't be afraid." Peter replied, "Lord, if it’s you, tell me to come to you on the water". And Jesus said, "Come!"
Peter got out of the boat and started walking on the water towards Jesus, but when he saw the wind and waves, he was afraid and, beginning to sink. Peter cried out “Lord, save me!” Immediately Jesus reached out His hand and caught him. “You of little faith!” He said, “why did you doubt?”
When Jesus and Peter climbed into the boat the wind and waves died down. Then, all those who were in the boat worshipped Jesus, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
For our craft activity we made these boats from a slice of pool noodle!

Sunday 12th July 2026.
This week, our Bible story was called 'Jesus at the Wedding'. We learnt that Jesus went to a wedding with His disciples and His mother, Mary. Halfway through the wedding, the wine ran out! Mary asked Jesus if He could help - and that is when Jesus did His first miracle. He turned 6 large jars of water into wine, and it was the best wine that anyone had tasted that day!
For our craft activity, we made water jars using PlayDoh, and put scrunched up tissue paper in the top to represent the water, and then the wine. We put our water jars in display boxes (so that they could be taken home safely!) and then we decorated the boxes with sticky gems!

June Messi Church.
Tuesday 30th June 2026.
Thank you to everyone that came to June Messi Church this week.
This Messi Church was based on the Bible verse from John 3:16, "For God so loved the World that He gave His only Son", and we had a football World Cup theme running alongside this verse! In her talk, Mandy asked the children about the countries taking part in the World Cup, showing some of the flags. She also had a giant sized version of the verse from John 3:16, to remind the children of this Messi Church's tagline which was 'We are all loved by God'!
Here are some photos of the football and world crafts and activities that we did.
