Our Story

The essence of St Helen's, Etwall lies in the friendly, welcoming, and warm-hearted nature of its people, amplified by the beautiful building.

It is closely connected to the two schools in the village and is jointly beneficed to St. Wilfrid's in the neighbouring village of Egginton, promoting a friendly relationship between the villages and their people.

Holy Communion is served regularly to local nursing and care homes.

The present building is built on the site of a Saxon church, recorded in Doomsday Book. The architectural styles include Norman, Early English, and Perpendicular, with Victorian alterations.
