The next Music on the Green lunchtime concert will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, 18 March, at 1.15pm, at Christ Church in Esher.

Come and listen to some lyrical late Romantic chamber repertoire including the passionate Violin Sonata by Richard Strauss, played by Charis Sykesud and Jack Redman (violin & piano).

No need to book. Free entry with a light lunch offered from 12.30pm. Concert from 1.15pm. Retiring collection.

Huge thanks to everyone who came long to our 2026 Easter Crazy Crafts day at the Lower Green Community Centre on Saturday.

We had around 45 children come along to make Easter baskets, greetings cards, tissue paper flowers, bunting and Kindness Jars, plus there was masses of colouring, and eggs and biscuits to decorate.

Thank you to Cathy and the team at Lower Green and everyone who came to help, especially Michelle, Calli, Bridget, Janie, Sia, Caelin, Mim and Elodie.

Our next egg-cellent crafting day for primary school aged children is THIS COMING Saturday 14 March at the Lower Green Community Centre in Esher, 10am-1pm.

Entry is free, the crafts are free and each child gets a goodie bag to take their swag home in!

Our wonderful Music In The Tower recital returns to Christ Church at the end of the month with four performances (day and evening) by David Yardley.

A leading exponent of early music, David’s critically acclaimed albums have been called, 'transcendent medieval-inspired music for modern times'.

His performance on voice and medieval harp will draw on both secular and sacred texts, weaving old and new together to create a uniquely captivating sound.

Tickets £15 each - only 20 per performance

This Friday at 5.30-7pm, we’ll be launching the 2025 festive season at Christ Church in style.

We’ll be creating decorations and making our oranges for the Christingle service on Sunday. There’ll also be food, carols, mulled wine, mince pies and heaps of Christmas cheer.

Plus, Cathy Heavens, the Lower Green Community Centre Manager, will be lighting up the Christmas tree!

On Saturday afternoon we threw open the Christ Church organ loft as part of the RSCM's [Royal School of Church Music's] "Hands On with Handel" initiative on St Cecilia's Day, 22 November 2025.

We were thrilled to welcome people of all ages who were eager to try out our amazing 3-manual Walker instrument.

It was a special treat to see the enthusiastic faces of our younger visitors as they pulled stops, pressed pistons and made merry music on the organ!

Enjoy listening to Stuart Whatton, our Parish Director of Music, performing Handel's Largo to kick off the celebrations.

Deck the Halls is our new free Christmas event happening on Friday 5 December at Christ Church.

We’ll be lighting up the Christmas tree (with Cathy from the Lower Green Community Centre doing the honours), creating Christmas decorations and making our Christingle oranges for the Christingle service on Sunday 7 December!

Plus there’ll be food, a carol singalong and heaps of Christmas cheer. Everyone is welcome 😊🥳🎄

Christmas Crazy Crafts returns this coming Saturday 10am-1pm at the Lower Green Community Centre in Esher.

Come and enjoy creating lots of Christmassy goodies and the cafe will be open for some yummy food. I can highly recommend the bacon sarnies. Perfect after a morning of crafting.

Plus the 3rd Esher Scouts will be in the carpark selling Christmas trees! Look forward to seeing you there.

Thank you to Link to Hope for this photo of me delivering our contribution of filled shoeboxes to support the annual Christmas Appeal, sending vital items and goodies to families and elderly people in desperate need in Eastern Europe. We gave 35 boxes in total - thank you to everyone who participated for the 2025 appeal 🙏
