Brilliant Harvest Crazy Crafts session today at the fantastic Lower Green Community Centre thank you to Cathy and the team, and thank you to everyone who came.

We had loads of free crafting wonderfulness - our biggest selection ever, including four brand new Harvesty things to make. Plus our Crazy Corner area (where you can let your imagination run totally bonkers) is now so big we have to have a separate section for it on the floor!

We love to see so many children returning to every single event and welcoming lots of new faces. The children all gave it 10/10 and two even gave it 100/10. One parent said that Crazy Crafts are the highlights of the year - apart from birthdays and Christmas, remarked one child 😉

Christmas Crazy Crafts is on Saturday 12 December, 10am-1pm at Lower Green. Look forward to seeing you there!

Screening of The Chosen returns by popular demand next Tuesday (13th Oct) at 7.30pm in Christ Church, Esher.

There will be four consecutive weekly showings of more episodes from the internationally acclaimed, adaptation of Jesus's life.

A very special welcome to the Esher Parish's new Rector, Revd Jo Winn-Smith, who was licensed by Bishop Paul last night.

As former Chaplain to the Bishop of Guildford, Jo is well known around the diocese and we're really thrilled to see her taking up her ministry in Esher.

St George's, West End is now closed for services until December whilst we refurbish it with a brand new floor!

'The little iron church' cost less than £300 to build in the late 19th century and was commissioned by Queen Victoria to serve the spiritual needs of workers from Claremont House and residents of West End, who were unable to make the trip up the hill to Christ Church. St George's opened for worship in 1879 and was only supposed to last for a few years, but is still going strong today - testament to its regard and need within the local and wider community.

To ensure the future of this vibrant and historic building, ongoing refurbishment and renovation continues to be required. Extensive works have recently been completed on the roof, external and internal walls, electrics and woodwork. We are now undertaking necessary remediation work to replace the foundations and flooring.

Donations towards this important project - on what many regard as the focal point of the village - would be very welcome. Please donate towards this work via www.collectionpot.com/pot/stgeorge. Thank you so much for your support.

Sunday services continue at Christ Church. Everyone is welcome to the 10.30am morning service.

Please bring along your food donations for the Lower Green Community Centre Emergency Food Store, that helps provide emergency items to support local families in the area.

The Parish of Esher is pleased to announce Revd Joanna Winn-Smith will be the new Rector of Esher.

The Institution by The Right Reverend Paul Davies, Acting Bishop of Guildford, and the Induction and Installation by The Venerable Martin Breadmore, Archdeacon of Dorking, of Revd Joanna Winn-Smith as Rector of Esher will take place at Christ Church on Wednesday 30 September 2026 at 7.30pm.

Everyone is welcome to attend this Eucharist Service.
