It's an exciting new season for Christ Church - we have a new vicar!
Revd Tom Hill was instituted as vicar on Thursday, by the acting Bishop of Guildford The Rt Revd Paul Davies. The service included Tom being handed the keys to the church, pouring water into the font and renewing the vows he made at his ordination. That might sound very serious - and of course it is! - but the service was filled with music, love, joy and laughter. The congregation also had the opportunity to welcome new curates Patrick and Rebecca.
At the reception afterwards, retiring churchwarden Fay gave Tom a very special gift - a cross that has been passed from vicar to vicar at Christ Church for many years.
Tom's first service will be on Sunday 6th September at 10am. Do come and meet him, and find out about everything that's coming up at Christ Church. We'd love to see you there.

A family barbecue and scavenger hunt followed by relaxed outdoor worship. You don't have to book, but it helps if you let us know you're coming so we know how many burgers and buns to buy!

A reminder that it's the second part of our relaxed, family-friendly Summer Series this Sunday at 10am. It doesn't matter if you missed the first one - each week explores a different aspect of faith in an accessible way. This week's theme is Inspiration to Faith - it's ideal if you are thinking about church for the first time, and offers friendly, welcoming worship for those who have been Christians for many years. You'll be sure of a warm welcome.

Join a service in the sun - this series of relaxed, family-friendly services are held outdoors (weather permitting) and explore faith in an accessible way. If you haven't been to church for a long time, these services are a great way to try it out again. Bring friends, relatives, children - and camping chairs too if possible.

It's THIS Sunday! A reminder not to miss the Family Fun Day at Christ Church Epsom Common. All Age Communion Service at 10am, followed by outdoors games and bouncy castle fun until 2pm. Bring a picnic lunch - ice creams and hot and cold drinks will be on sale.

A lot happens behind the scenes in a church - and keeping this gorgeous Victorian building looking its amazing best doesn't happen by accident. Huge thanks to Andy and Richard who recently cleaned a number of our stained glass windows. The stunning colours look so much brighter and the sun is currently streaming through. Why not pop in sometime to have a look? (It's relatively cool in here too!)

Drop in to the Family Fun Day on Sunday 19th July. There's an All Age Communion Service at 10am, then there's the bouncy castle and outdoor fun and games until 2pm. Ice creams and hot and cold drinks on sale. Why not bring a picnic lunch? We'd love to see you there. Bring family, friends and neighbours - well behaved dogs welcome too.

We can’t wait to welcome Pilatikat to our hall. We know we’re biased, but it really is the perfect location for exercise classes, right by the Common and with huge windows letting in lots of light. Wellbeing - physical, mental and spiritual- is so important to us as a church. We’re so pleased to host activities that promote the health and wellbeing of the community around us.
