This weekend we donated to Epsom & Ewell Foodbank as part of our fortnightly collections. Thanks to all those who generously donated items.

Yesterday, 65 of our clients, alongside members of The Sunnybank Trust, enjoyed wonderful hospitality at the Sri Raja Rajeswary Amman Temple in Stoneleigh as we joined in the celebrations marking the beginning of Navratri, a ten-day Hindu festival.

Navratri is a special time when families and communities come together through prayer, dance, music and festive food. Alongside The Sunnybank Trust, we are honoured to be one of the charities supported by the Temple this year. It was also wonderful to hear about the Temple’s generous donation of an incredible £1,000 towards the roof appeal at St John’s Church.

These acts of kindness are a wonderful example of communities coming together to support one another, regardless of faith or background. At Age Concern Epsom & Ewell, we felt honoured to be welcomed and to share in these meaningful celebrations.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone at the Temple for their generous hospitality and for making our clients feel so welcome. It was a wonderful opportunity to share in another community’s traditions and create happy memories together. 🙏🏻

This afternoon we hosted guests from Age Concern Epsom & Ewell, The Sunnybank Trust and St John’s Baptist Church in Stoneleigh for our Community Afternoon filled with food, entertainment and fun!
The Temple is proud to support our local church’s fundraising appeal for their new roof and donated £1,000 to support this worthy cause.

Thank you to all our volunteers who gave up their time to host our guests and provide food.
