Today, in the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for the Episcopal / Anglican Province of Alexandria and for the Primate, the Most Revd Dr Samy Fawzy Shehata, Archbishop of Alexandria and Bishop of Egypt.

Let us pray for:

🙏 The life and mission of the Province – for bishops, clergy and laity serving across North Africa and the Horn of Africa, that diverse Anglican communities may be strengthened in faith, fellowship and witness.

🙏 Refugees and migrants – for people displaced from their homes and for churches providing humanitarian assistance, medical care, livelihood support and a place of welcome and dignity.

🙏 Peacebuilding and interfaith relations – for the Church’s work to deepen understanding and cooperation between Christians and Muslims, and for initiatives that equip young people to become leaders for peace.

🙏 Discipleship and Christian formation – for programmes helping people to grow as disciples of Christ and equipping clergy and lay leaders for faithful ministry and service.
