We give thanks to Almighty God for the Vote which took place in the House of Commons today regarding the Assisted Su***de Bill. We are thankful for each one who faithfully spoke and voted against the Bill. This is an issue which should never have been brought to our seat of democracy in the United Kingdom, but in the mercy of God it has been defeated and it is our prayer that the supporters of this Bill will accept the result and most importantly come to realise that it is God alone who is the giver and taker of life. Job acknowledged this in the very worse of circumstances in his own personal life, and yet he was able to accept: ‘The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord’ Job1v21. It is our heartfelt prayer that those in the midst of suffering and illness would see the love of Jesus Christ and know His compassion. Hebrews ch4v15 teaches us that in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, we have One who is touched with the feeling of our infirmities.

𝗡𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 – 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗔𝗶𝗱 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗹
Nepal's death toll has exceeded 1,000 after last week's devastating floods, and officials say over 4,000 are missing. Rescue efforts continue despite the heavy rains and risk of further flooding.

In conjunction with our partners in Nepal, the Mission Board have now launched an Emergency Aid Appeal to provide aid for the area. It is planned that our friends in Kathmandu will travel to the affected areas and distribute aid, including tents, rice and other food and blankets. Your help to provide the necessary funds will be greatly appreciated as we try to do all we can to help the needy people of Nepal.
