Eco Tip for the week from Havant Borough Council

Have you got any leftover lemons? Don't let them go to waste!
🧊 Freeze leftover lemon juice in ice cube trays and keep it on hand for:
🥤 Drinks
🍳 Cooking
🧼 Natural cleaning
🍋 Don't forget the zest! Freeze it in an airtight container or freezer bag ready to add to recipes whenever you need it!

Come along to high tide youth, bring a friend for food, games, worship and prayer.

Eco Tip for this week - Composting Tips from Havant Borough Council

Keep your compost bin thriving during warmer weather with these simple tips:
💧 Check moisture levels regularly. Compost can dry out in hot weather, so add a little water if needed. Aim for damp, not soggy.
🍂 Balance green and brown materials. Mix grass cuttings and peelings with cardboard, paper and dry leaves for healthy compost.
🔄 Turn your compost regularly. This adds oxygen and helps distribute moisture evenly.
🌤️ Give it some shade. If possible, position your compost bin out of full sun to help prevent it drying out.

Enjoy a litter free picnic this summer!

Summer is the perfect time to dine outdoors with a picnic.
1. Pack your food into reusable containers
2. Bring your own cutlery and cups
3. Always have a bag ready to collect any rubbish and remember to separate recyclables from your rubbish and take it home.
4. Make sure you leave your picnic spot tidy before you leave
