In our services, we will be exploring ‘A Living Hope in a Suffering World’ - Resurrection doesn’t remove suffering—but it gives us hope strong enough to endure it.

The Mayor of Ely Rev. Mike Banyard visited the bellringers at St Mary's church Ely during the weekly practice on Friday last.

He thanked everyone for their loyal work in maintaining the ancient tradition, supporting both the outreach of St Mary's and also civic events in conjunction with VisitEly just next door at Oliver Cromwell's house. The Mayor encouraged the ringers to keep ringing alive in Ely and the surrounding area, with the hope that more younger people will join and learn. The visit was rounded off by joining some of the band for a customary post-practice drink at the nearby pub.
