Tomorrow is a special one as some of our LHKids will be moving up into their next age group! 🥳

There might be a few new faces, new leaders and lots of new things to discover — but one thing stays the same: we’re here to help every child know Jesus, grow in their faith and discover just how much God loves them 🙌❤️

So whether you’re moving up or staying put for another year, we can’t wait to see you this Sunday! if you are unsure if that impacts your child, talk to a member of the Kids team tomorrow and they will be able to assist you.

🏠🪨 STORIES JESUS TOLD: THE WISE & FOOLISH BUILDERS 🪨🏠

This Sunday, we’re starting our new series STORIES JESUS TOLD by looking at one of Jesus’ most memorable parables — the story of two builders!

One builder built his house on rock. The other built his house on sand 🏡 But when the rain came, the winds blew and the storms hit… only one house stood firm!

So what was Jesus teaching us through this story? And what does it mean for us today?

This week, we’ll be discovering that listening to Jesus and putting His words into practice gives us a strong foundation for life — one that can help us stand firm when difficult things come our way.

📖✨ NEW SERIES: STORIES JESUS TOLD ✨📖

This half term, we’re diving into some of the amazing parables Jesus told in the Gospels!

Jesus often used stories to help the people around Him understand important truths about God, faith and how we live. But what exactly is a parable? And what can these stories, told thousands of years ago, teach us today?

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be exploring some of Jesus’ best-known stories, discovering what they meant to the people who first heard them and, most importantly, thinking about what they mean for us today. ❤️

We’ll see how Jesus’ stories can still challenge us, encourage us and help us see God and our lives in a new way. Let’s get ready to listen, discover and find out what Jesus wants to teach us through His stories! 🌟

🦸‍♂️✨ Jesus – The Ultimate Superhero! ✨🦸‍♀️

What an amazing finish to our Superhero Summer Series!

Over the past few weeks you've met some incredible people from the Bible who showed courage, faith and trust in God. But we've discovered that the greatest Superhero of all is Jesus!

Jesus showed the greatest love of all by giving His life for you. He loves you, He is always with you and you can be His friend.

Remember, you don't need a cape or special powers to be used by God – He has amazing plans for you and will help you every step of the way! ❤️🌟

🦸‍♂️✨ Superhero Summer Celebration! ✨🦸‍♀️

This Sunday is a very special day because you’re going to be joining the grown-ups for a Family Service as we celebrate everything we've discovered during our Superhero Summer Series!

Over the past 5 weeks you've heard amazing Bible stories and met some incredible heroes who showed courage, faith, obedience and trust in God. But the most important thing we've learned is that Jesus is the ultimate Superhero! He loves you, cares for you and wants to be your friend.

You’ll get the chance to share some of the things you've discovered with the whole church family, and we can't wait to celebrate together! 🌟

We can't wait to see you there for a very special morning of fun, celebration and learning about Jesus. ❤️

🌟 This Week at Lighthouse Kids 🌟

Elijah – An Obedient Prophet

This week we're learning about Elijah, a prophet who boldly stood for the one true God, even when others opposed him. Elijah saw God do amazing miracles and had a close relationship with Him, but he also experienced fear and discouragement at times.

📖 "The Lord—he is God! Yes, the Lord is God!" – 1 Kings 18:39

📖 "Be still, and know that I am God." – Psalm 46:10

Elijah's story reminds us that God is always with us. We can trust Him, listen to His voice and remember that He is God, no matter what challenges we face ❤️🔥

🦸‍♂️✨ Our Superhero Summer Series is flying by!

We've already had so much fun discovering incredible stories from the Bible and learning about people who showed courage, faith, obedience and trust in God.

From Jesus – the ultimate Superhero – to heroes like Esther, Joshua and David, we've been reminded that God is always with us and that He can use ordinary people to do amazing things.

But the adventure isn't over yet! We still have more superhero sessions to come, more stories to discover and more fun to be had together at Lighthouse Kids. 🌟

We can't wait to see what happens next! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️❤️

🌟 This Week at Lighthouse Kids 🌟

David – A Brave Shepherd Boy Who Became King

This week we're learning about David, the young shepherd who trusted God and defeated the giant Goliath before becoming one of Israel's greatest kings. David loved God deeply and was described as a man after God's own heart.

Although David made mistakes, he always turned back to God, asked for forgiveness and continued to trust Him. He reminds us that God doesn't expect us to be perfect – He wants us to follow Him with humble and faithful hearts.

📖 "The Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people." – 1 Samuel 13:14

📖 Psalm 23 reminds us that the Lord is our Shepherd, who guides us, cares for us and is always with us.

Through David's story, we'll discover that God can use ordinary people to do extraordinary things when they put their trust in Him. 💙👑🐑

🌟 This Week in Lighthouse Kids 🌟

Joshua – A Faith-Filled Leader

This week we're learning about Joshua, the leader who trusted God and led the Israelites into the Promised Land. When God told Joshua and the Israelites to march around the walls of Jericho, they obeyed in faith and saw God do something amazing!

📖 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." – Joshua 1:9

Joshua's story reminds us that when we trust God and follow Him, He is always with us and can do incredible things through us. 💙🛡️
