Pop in past - Wednesday afternoons. New quiz sheets for anyone who wants to put their brain to work. Plenty of time to chat. Soup, tea/coffee & fine pieces.
The Connect bus takes folks out from Elgin if you need transport or drop us a message & we will try to organise a lift for you.

Good Morning,
After last Sundays service it was decided that we would meet on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of every month. On Sundays when we won’t be meeting we will try to post a bible reading for reflection.

Here is todays passage for reflection. Jesus taught his disciples the meaning of true happiness even in times of hardship & sorrow…..

The Sermon on the Mount
Jesus saw the crowds and went up a hill, where he sat down. His disciples gathered round him, and he began to teach them:

Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor; the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them!

Happy are those who mourn;
God will comfort them!

Happy are those who are humble;
they will receive what God has promised!

Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires;
God will satisfy them fully!

Happy are those who are merciful to others;
God will be merciful to them!

Happy are the pure in heart;
they will see God!

Happy are those who work for peace;
God will call them his children!

Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires;
the Kingdom of heaven belongs to them!

Happy are you when people insult you and persecute you and tell all kinds of evil lies against you because you are my followers.

Be happy and glad, for a great reward is kept for you in heaven. This is how the prophets who lived before you were persecuted.
Amen.

Spynie Community Kirk @ Spynie Village Hall

We will be holding our 1st Service on Sunday 3rd May at 10.30am.
This will be followed by a delicious Sunday Lunch.
Everyone will be very welcome to join us.

Our aim is to have a service on the 1st Sunday of every month. There will always be teas & coffees after the service & we will try to have something different every couple of months.

Please join us for the service even if you don’t want to stay for lunch.

Not quite as we had planned but it’s with great joy we can now tell you that the Spynie Social Hub has relocated to Spynie Village Hall.
We meet every Wednesday afternoon & you will all be made very welcome. There is lunch & afternoon tea. Lots of games, quizzes & crafts on offer to anyone who wants to take part. Some folks just like to come along & have a blether. It’s up to you. The Connect Bus brings some folk from Elgin if you need transport. Or give us a call(07908583320) if you have any questions. Everyone is welcome, you don’t have to be a ‘certain age’ to come along. Give it a try…….
