Today, we handed out some flyers for our church in Rothes. We also had a cuppa in one of the cafes in the village. If you stay in Rothes, and got one of our flyers, we hope you’ll visit our church!

Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross, so our sins could be forgiven, and so we could have a new life. If you don’t know Christ, the Bible says you must repent of your sin, and believe the gospel!

Lord, thank You that by His wounds we are healed.

WHEN WAS CHRIST CRUCIFIED?

Many professing Christians celebrate “Good Friday.” But did you know that a Friday crucifixion is not possible, from a Biblical standpoint? We know that Christ rose from the dead on the first day of the week (Sunday) (Matthew 28:1-6). We also know that Christ spent three whole days and nights in the grave (Matthew 12:40). If you do the math, a Friday crucifixion isn’t possible. If Christ rose again the first day of the week, and spent three whole days and nights in the grave, then He must have been crucified on Wednesday.

On Wednesday - Christ was crucified
On Thursday - Christ was in the grave
On Friday - Christ was still in the grave
On Saturday - Christ was still in the grave
On Sunday - Christ rose from the grave!

We’re looking forward to having Pastor Russell Brinkley from Bible Baptist Church in Perth with us this Sunday! Pastor Russell will preach in the 10am and 11am services, and then lunch will be served. After lunch, there will be a short afternoon service. We hope you can join us!
