Join us tomorrow (Sunday 14th June) as we worship God and learn from the Bible together. At our morning service, we gather from just before 11am where we will focus on studying Matthew 12:1-21 and what it means that Jesus Christ is "Lord of the Sabbath". For children, we offer a variety of Bible-based activities suitable for their age and afterwards we look forward to sharing fellowship with you over a cup of tea, coffee or juice at Number 7.

“Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations. He will not quarrel or cry out; no one will hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not s***f out, till he has brought justice through to victory. C.S. Lewis once said that “praise almost seems to be inner health made audible.” No-one can be truly happy who is not deeply grateful. Sovereign Grace reflect this truth in one of their latest songs of worship: “For goodness and for mercy that has surely followed us and every blessing we could never earn. For all the gifts we cherish that are pictures of Your love, what could we ever offer in return?” The answer: “Thank You, thank You, Father, you are always good.”

Join us tomorrow at 11am as we continue our studies on the I AM sayings of Jesus. There will be the usual activities for children and youth as well as crèche. Tea/coffee served afterwards in Number 7. At 6pm we will look at the blessings of justification along with celebrating the Lord’s Supper

This recently-released song by Stillcreek and Laura Story – “Fill this house” – is a wonderful that the “goodness of our Father, and the grace of Christ the Son through the presence of the Spirit” will “make us one.” The lyrics echo what our Saviour prayed in John 17 that “all will believe in me… may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.”

Sometimes heaven seems to be silent and we can confused by the lack of any obvious interventions from above but this song reminds us that our Saviour King often works behind the scenes. There are many “as it so happened” moments in the Bible, from Ruth gleaning in the field of the kindly Boaz to Nehemiah’s providential positioning in the palace as cupbearer to King Artaxerxes I of Persia.

Each of us has peculiar gifts and personal experiences; but the one object God has in view is the maturing of the whole Body of Christ. We must, therefore, bring our spiritual possessions and lay them at the apostles' feet, that we may share all of what God has given to us.

Withhold no part of the precious truth, but speak what you know and declare what you have seen. Do not allow the toil or darkness or possible unbelief of your friends to dissuade you. Let us rise and march to the place of duty, and there declare what great things God has shown to our soul.

Just as manna in the wilderness needed to be gathered daily and could not be stored overnight (or it would spoil), so we need to keep coming back to Christ Jesus for the sustenance our spirits require.
