🚨 Volunteers Needed: Camp Transport Chaperones 🚨

Campers are ready, getting excited, and counting down the days until camp... now we just need a few heroic volunteers to help get them there and back in one piece!

We’re looking for a few more volunteer chaperones to travel on camp transport and help supervise our wonderful (and occasionally noisy) campers.

No previous experience is required. If you’ve ever survived a family road trip, a children’s birthday party, or a supermarket visit during school holidays, you’re probably overqualified.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, will involve:

🚌 Counting children onto the bus (or ferry)
🚌 Ensuring children stay on the bus (or ferry)
🚌 Re-counting children (repeatedly)
🚌 Answering “Are we there yet?” a yet-to-be-confirmed number of times
🚌 Counting children off the bus (or ferry) and handing over to Camp Leaders or parents

In return, you’ll receive:

⭐ The admiration of camp leaders
⭐️ A front-row seat to the excitement
⭐️ Absolutely no guarantee of peace and quiet
⭐️ The satisfaction of helping make camp possible for our young people

We pray for the Free Church Teens Conference which takes place from 12th -14th June in Lendrick Muir.
Specifically -
a. that those who are already believers would be encouraged and built up in their faith
b. that any who are not yet saved, would respond in faith
c. that really good healthy Christian friendships would be formed
d. that everyone would feel included and no one would be left out
e. for safety and fun
f. for our speakers Keith Knowlton and Tom Penman as they prepare and speak
g. for cooks and leaders, that we’d be a witness and Christ like example

Camp is getting close which means Camper Information Packs are on their way!!

Parents/carers for some of our camps will have already received theirs and if yours hasn't arrived yet don't worry.

Packs go out 4 weeks before your camp begins so keep your eye on our inbox.

Last call for camp bookings!

Just a heads up, bookings for FCYC 2026 close Friday night (29th May). That is just over 48 hours away.

Life gets busy so we wanted to make sure you didn't miss this. If you've been meaning to get your young person signed up now is the time to do it.

It was a real pleasure to update the Free Church of Scotland General Assembly on the work of Camps. We deeply appreciate the support of the Assembly and the wider church family.

We shared details of the camps taking place this summer and encouraged people to pray for each camp and to work closely with their respective 'Adopted' camps. We also highlighted how much we value the Women for Mission initiative and the direct impact it will have on Camps and the work they do.

Our first camp starts in 31 days - Kincraig Kids 1!!

Camp leaders and cooks are gathering today Smithton Church for the annual FCYC training day. Please pray for this event that God will be glorified as we share with each other and look forward to the summer ahead. We are so thankfull for the sacrificial work that our leaaders and cooks put into camps to make them such a blessing for all those involved. See attached some of the photos from today.
