OFFERING JOYFUL SERVICE UNTO THE LORD

Last Sunday, we were blessed through the life of Sister Mizzy Secuya Bacus as she shared the Word of God with us, reminding us of the importance of offering our time, talents, resources, and service to the Lord with joyful and willing hearts.

Through the lives of David, the Macedonian churches, and Mary, we learned THREE POWERFUL LESSONS about giving, serving, and worshipping God wholeheartedly.

1. GIVE WILLINGLY AND REJOICE IN THE OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE GOD. 1 Chronicles 29:9
David and the people rejoiced because they gave willingly and wholeheartedly toward the building of God’s temple. Their generosity reminds us that serving and giving to the Lord should never be a burden, but a joyful response of a heart devoted to Him.

2. GIVE GENEROUSLY, EVEN IN DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES, AND SURRENDER YOURSELF TO THE LORD FIRST. 2 Corinthians 8:1–5
Despite the Macedonians severe trials and deep poverty, the Macedonian churches overflowed with joy and gave generously, even beyond their ability. What made their giving remarkable was that they first gave themselves to the Lord. Their example teaches us that true generosity begins with complete surrender to God.

3. OFFER YOUR BEST TO JESUS AS AN EXPRESSION OF GENUINE LOVE AND WORSHIP. John 12:1–8
Mary expressed her love and devotion to Jesus by anointing His feet with expensive perfume and wiping them with her hair. Her offering was personal, sacrificial, and an expression of deep love. Through her example, we are reminded that Jesus deserves our very best, given out of a sincere and devoted heart.

May we continue to serve the Lord with gladness, give with generous hearts, and offer Him our very best in everything we do. May our lives reflect our love for Him, and may everything we offer bring glory and honour to His holy name. Amen!

During our Sunday service, we were reminded that even in seasons of pain, loss, disappointment, or uncertainty, God remains faithful, and His joy can sustain us. Through the life of Sister Agnes Faith Almine Laurente we were given a powerful reminder that our joy is not dependent on our circumstances.

There may be seasons when we feel broken, but God can bring beauty from our brokenness and restore the joy we thought we had lost. What we go through may shape our story, but it does not have to define our future.

Nehemiah 8:10 NIV
Nehemiah said, 'Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.'

Whatever season you are in today, remember: your story is not over, and your joy can be restored.

It's another beautiful month, and we are excited to celebrate God's precious gift of life in our October Birthday Celebrants!

Let us celebrate their lives together through our prayers, love, and heartfelt birthday wishes. Let us pray for their continued good health, abundant blessings, renewed strength, lasting happiness, and a life filled with God's grace and favour. May the Lord guide their steps, grant them more fruitful years, and bless them with countless reasons to rejoice.

Through the life and testimony of Bro. Ruffy Canda, we were reminded and encouraged to explore and reflect on the true nature of God’s goodness.

We were reminded that discovering who God truly is means understanding that His goodness remains constant, even when our circumstances change. We learn to recognize His goodness not only through blessings and answered prayers, but also through trials and seasons of waiting.

We were also reminded to guard our hearts, remain faithful, and never take God’s goodness for granted.

His goodness calls us to obey, to trust, and to draw closer to Him.

Psalms 34:8 NIV
Taste and see that the Lord is good;
blessed is the one who takes refuge in him

What a powerful message God revealed to us in our Sunday service yesterday, through the life of sister Mizzy Secuya Bacus.

Yesterday, we were reminded that we live in a fractured and imperfect world. There will be moments of pain, disappointment, unanswered questions and situations we simply don’t understand.

But the message reminded us of something so powerful: God’s goodness does not mean that we will never go through trouble. It means that we will never go through it alone. God’s goodness is not always seen in Him removing us from the storm. Sometimes His goodness is revealed in the fact that He becomes our refuge and stronghold in the middle of the storm.

Nahum 1:7
The Lord is good,
A strength and stronghold in the day of trouble;
He knows [He recognizes, cares for, and understands fully] those who take refuge and trust in Him.

What a blessed and encouraging time we had together in God’s presence last Sunday!

We were especially blessed by the life and testimony of our dear brother Richard TLaurente. His journey reminded us that when we allow God’s goodness to work through us, He can use our lives to bring hope, healing, and positive change to others..

There are situations that seem impossible to change—broken
relationships, difficult people, discouragement, injustice, and spiritual battles. But when we walk in God's goodness, He can use our lives to bring transformation.

Goodness can become a breakthrough when it is empowered by God.

Romans 12:21
“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
