Update & Thank You – Janazah Appeal

Jazakum Allahu khairan to everyone who responded so generously to the recent appeal to support the Janazah costs of our brother.

Alhamdulillah, through the kindness and solidarity of the community, we have received more than the amount required to cover the funeral and burial expenses.

In line with our commitment to transparency, the remaining funds will be retained in the Mosque’s Funeral Fund account to assist with future cases where members of our community may pass away without the financial means or family support to cover their Janazah costs.

May Allah reward each and every one of you for your generosity, accept your sadaqah, and grant our brother mercy and forgiveness.

Edinburgh Central Mosque is making an urgent donation appeal for a member of our community who has passed away with no family or friends present in the country. The community is coming together to ensure he receives a proper Janazah and burial with dignity.

Shahid was the husband of Sofia Ali, brother of Zahid Ali and Shahida Mirza, brother in law of Farhaan Mirza and son of late Kurshid

The burial will take place at 3.15pm
Hills of Dunipace Cemetery, FK5 4RY (near Denny).

After the burial Qur’an Khawani and Dua will be made at Falkirk Islamic Centre, 6-8 Burnhead Lane, Falkirk, FK1 1UG. Food will be served for guests after Maghrib salah.

Please remember marhoom Shahid in your dua - may Allah have mercy on him, give him a high rank in Jannat-ul-Firdaus & give the family Sabr in this difficult time. Ameen
