As another week begins to draw to an end, we’re excited to gather again - 11am on Sunday at the Old Schoolhouse. We come to share in friendship, worship, and relevant Bible teaching. There’s a welcome for the curious as well as the committed. If church is new to you we’d love to see you. Our new minister Peter will be speaking as we continue our journey through Ephesians and share Communion.

Fantastic to meet together today for the induction of Rev Peter Turnbull to Cornerstone Church - Edinburgh!

The induction service, held at Chalmers Church, included the formalities of welcoming our new minister, an encouraging message by Rev Dr Alistair Wilson about Colossians 1:1-8 & singing Psalms.

The celebrations continued with cakes & refreshments at the Old Schoolhouse.

A special day as we welcome the Turnbulls to Cornerstone! 🥳🎉

We're looking forward to the induction of Rev Peter Turnbull to Cornerstone Church - Edinburgh this Saturday!

The induction service will take place at Chalmers Church on Morningside Road at 1pm, followed by a celebration at the Old Schoolhouse. All welcome.

Please remember Caleb and his family in prayer🙏🏻

Free Church Moderator, Rev Calum Iain Macleod, has shared this urgent prayer request:

I would like to reach out to our wider church family with an urgent prayer request for Caleb, a very sick little boy aged two who has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer (Neuroblastoma).

Caleb’s parents are Rev Andrew and Eilidh Macleod. Andrew (Mowgli) is minister of New City Church Dunfermline.

Some of you are already aware of Caleb’s circumstances following an earlier appeal for prayer from Rev Derek Lamont, a friend and colleague of Andrew.

Caleb is currently having chemotherapy and is receiving critical care at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children and Young People, Edinburgh.

Please pray for Caleb and encourage others to prayer. Pray for effective medical intervention. Pray for recovery and healing. Pray for strength and resilience for Andrew and Eilidh, along with Isla, Caleb’s big sister, at this extremely difficult and anxious time for them all as a family. Pray that they will continue to know God’s near presence, his peace, and the embrace of his everlasting arms.

Please consider having a concentrated time of prayer for Caleb at your midweek prayer meeting and congregational prayer groups.

Unusually, our next First Fridays get together will be tomorrow!

The Faith Mission Cafe will sadly be closing at the end of this month and so the gathering tomorrow morning will replace the morning we had planned for June 5th.

This will also be the last First Fridays before we take a break for the summer. This is a chance for a casual catch-up over a cuppa for all women of Cornerstone Church - Edinburgh, Cornerstone Gilmerton and the Spanish Speaking community.
