His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Mathews III, Catholicos of the East & Malankara Metropolitan and Supreme Head of the Holy Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, participating in the 1700th Anniversary of the Nicene Creed in Nicea (İznik, Türkiye).

His Holiness joins and leads the ecumenical prayer service alongside the Heads of the Oriental Orthodox and Eastern Orthodox Churches, including Ecumenical Patriarch His Holiness Bartholomew I and His Holiness Pope Leo XIV of Roman Catholic Church.

The gathering takes place near the archaeological remains of the ancient Basilica of Saint Neophytos, during a pilgrimage commemorating the First Council of Nicaea (325 AD)—a profound moment of unity and shared Christian heritage.
