Murals at St John's Scottish Episcopal Church, Edinburgh EH2 4BJ Since 1982, St John's Episcopal Church has been producing murals commenting on issues in church, society or the wider world - often controversially.

We seek to start and continue conversations and discussions, never to offend. Since 1982, St John's Church on Princes Street, Edinburgh (the main street) has commented on local / global justice issues through murals agreed with and painted by 'Artists for Justice and Peace'. These have always sought to say something prophetic (ie deeply true and challenging) and, therefore, have often been controversial. Often they have provoked dialogue with groups who have felt offended.
