Well worth a visit!

The project startedin 2010 by the late Helen Crummy , Andrew Crummy, Heather Henderson and Lindsey Watt (headteacher at Castleview Primary School) and local community activists. Later on supported by Connecting Craigmillar at The Thistle Foundation by Dani Waddell, Katie Quinn, Will Golding and Angela Doherty.
It’s an ongoing project that traces the history of Craigmillar with the help and support of many in the Craigmillar Community. The tapestry has grown to reflect the changing face of Craigmillar, in particular its diversity and the many cultures that are now in Craigmillar. Although there has been many changes, the original families that came to the original housing schemes are still here
One of the starting points was the book by Helen Crummy "Mine a rich Vien".
The first stages of the panels were launched in Feb 2017 as part of World Community Arts Day.
20 panels are up and running with many more to be designed and sewn.

Regarded in the handbell world as pioneers and innovators, Strikepoint is considered one of the top handbell ensembles in the world. They were honoured to be the sole ensemble representing the United States at the 21st International Symposium in Hamamatsu, Japan and are here in Scotland to take part in the 22nd International Handbell Symposium in Aberdeen.

Getting off to a slightly bumpy ride this ........ however these sessions are terribly important and we will be back on the 15th!

We're sorry to inform you that this Wednesday's Community Drop-in session (08/07) has been cancelled due to lack of staff cover. - we look forward to seeing you on the 15th of July!
