{Did you think}, O people, {that We created you in play} that is, in vain, with no purpose, with nothing required of you and no wisdom on Our part? It was also said, so that you might eat, drink, have fun, and enjoy the pleasures of this world, and We would leave you alone without any commands or prohibitions, reward or punishment, just like animals?

But you were created to worship Allah alone and carry out His commands!

Hence Allah the Exalted says: {and that you would not be brought back to us?} in the eternal Hereafter – and did this never cross your minds?

In the Ayah after it, Allah the Exalted says: {So Exalted be Allah, the True King.} means, sanctified be He above the idea that he should create anything in vain, for He is the True King Who is far above doing such a thing.

He is truly the Sovereign of all creation and He is truthful in His promise and warning, and {none has the right to be worshipped but He}, because of the perfect Attributes He possesses {Lord of the Magnificent Throne} so it is more appropriate that He should be the Lord of everything beneath it, and that He would not create you in vain.

When this life of ours ends, it is the beginning of an eternal life. After the life of the grave comes the Day of Judgement.

Allah will judge us for our deeds, the most important of which is Tawheed (worshiping Him alone without partners) and submission to Him (Islam). It is the condition of acceptance of good deeds. It is then an eternal life in Jannah (Paradise) or Jahannam (the Fire)
