🕊️ A New Chapter of Faith all over Scotland : All Are Welcome! 🌿

Looking for a spiritual home that cherishes timeless tradition while embracing modern inclusivity? We are delighted to introduce the Old Catholic Apostolic Church Scotland to our local communities!

Who We Are:

We are a vibrant, independent Catholic community. While we separated from Rome historically, we have preserved the fullness of Catholic tradition. Our Bishops hold full, valid Apostolic Succession, meaning our Holy Mass, Confession, and First Holy Communion are entirely valid and rich in grace.

What Makes Us Unique?
Inclusivity at Our Core: Our Holy Mass is open to absolutely everyone—no exceptions, no barriers.
Equality in Ministry: We believe God calls everyone to serve. In Scotland, we are blessed with both female and male priests, serving alongside our Bishop Michael.

Open Vocations: If you’ve ever felt a calling to the priesthood, our doors and hearts are open to explore that journey with you.

Join Our Journey:
Whether you want to join us as a lay person to deepen your faith, or you're curious about finding out more about becoming a priest, we would love to welcome you.

We can even say Holy Mass in your home.
✨ Need Pastoral Support or a Sacrament? ✨
Our priests are locally available and here for you in all of life's milestones. Get in touch for:

As we hear of another tragic life taken by mental health let us remember them in our prayers everyday, not forgetting the family and friends who are now dealing with the loss.

On this day in 1982, Pope John Paul II addressed a quarter of a million Catholics in Glasgow's Bellahouston Park.

Our Bishop was present at this Papal Mass, it was a scorcher of a day, the Mass was beautiful.

Welcoming the New Bishop of Edinburgh

All of us at the Old Catholic Apostolic Church wish to extend our warmest congratulations and prayers to the Right Reverend Dr. Dagmar Winter on her installation today at St Mary's Episcopal Cathedral as the new Bishop of Edinburgh.

As she steps into this vital role within the Scottish Episcopal Church, we pray that her ministry is rich with grace, wisdom, and spiritual growth. We deeply value our ecumenical relationships and look forward to standing together in shared faith and service across our communities.

May God richly bless your journey ahead, Bishop Dagmar.

God bless your ministry.

Although some of the Orthodox denominations celebrate St Helena, today the Old Catholic and Apostolic Church celebrates the Feast of St Rita of Cascia. Bestow on us, we pray, O Lord, the wisdom and strength of the Cross, with which you were pleased to endow Saint Rita, so that, suffering in every tribulation with Christ, we may participate ever more deeply in his Paschal Mystery. Who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Brother Mārtįńs OSFC gives his homily for the Feast Day of St Rita of Cascia.

Our Lady of Scotland & Child

A Prayer to Our Lady of Scotland & Child

O Holy Mother of God, known to us as Our Lady of Scotland, we come before you with humble hearts, seeking your maternal protection and grace.

In this time of need, we ask for your powerful intercession. You who stood at the foot of the Cross, look with compassion upon our struggles and the suffering we carry. Wrap us in your mantle of peace and guide us through the darkness toward the light of your Son.

Our Lady of Scotland, patroness of our land and our hearts, strengthens the Old Catholic Apostolic Church Scotland and all who seek your help. Be our comfort in sorrow, our hope in despair, and our constant advocate before the throne of Mercy.
Help us to bear our crosses with the same faith and courage you showed, trusting always in the divine will. We place our burdens in your hands, Mother, confident that you hear the cries of your children.

Amen.

If you require the decades of the Rosary to Our Lady of Scotland or a Novena to our Blessed Mother just sending us a message.

✨ Join Our Community: A Place Where Everyone Belongs

Are you looking for a spiritual home that embraces you exactly as you are? At the Old Catholic Apostolic Church Scotland, our doors and our hearts are wide open. We believe that faith should be a journey of inclusion, not a list of exclusions.

🌟 Why Join Us?

We are a church offering more than just a Sunday service; we are a community dedicated to walking alongside you every day of the week. We draw our roots from the very first church, and after finding our own path following the split with the Roman Catholic Church, we have focused on a ministry of radical welcome.

🕊️ A Ministry Without Barriers

Our Priests are fully ordained by a Catholic Bishop who has Apostolic succession.

We believe that a calling to serve God should be open to all. Unlike many traditional institutions, we have removed the barriers to the Priesthood*.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of background.
Vocation is open to all: You can be married or living with your partner while serving in the ministry. We celebrate the love and stability that family life brings to a spiritual calling.

Our service of Holy Mass is fully valid by one our own Catholic Priests.

"God is with you 24 hours a day."

Whether you are seeking a place to worship, a community to grow with, or are feeling a deeper call to service, we invite you to reach out and discover a different way of experiencing faith.

Thank you for reading our post.

We are also available for Catholic Funerals, Catholic Baptisms and most other things
