Happy New Year to you all!

On Thursday the 11th of January we will be back into the swing of things.

The Stenhouse Plug-In is all about building local community.

We are a place to come as you are for anyone in the community. In this new year, please don't walk past without popping in for some tea, soup, cake, games, baking, the lot...

January Blues is a real thing. Please don't exclude yourself - you are warmly welcome and invited!
Thursdays 11am - 1pm from the 11th of January.

On Tuesday 9th (7-9pm) we are starting our Alpha Course again... free meal included. Listen how Karis came across Alpha:

Walking into a new building... lots of new faces and people... starting a conversation... can be REALLY difficult! I remember going to a friends wedding and not knowing anyone else there. It's hard work!

BUT, it might be reassuring to know that when you come upstairs to Stenhouse Plug-In that you will be welcomed by the most friendliest group of people.
We are also starting a BAKING workshop in the backroom where you can join in on making cakes and tray-bakes with your hands and chatting to some people at the same time.

Building community can seem daunting at the beginning, but it's also the most rewarding thing you can do too.

We had the amazing 'Just Love' Student Society visiting us today.

'Just Love' is a band of university students who are passionate about seeing social justice take place on our doorsteps. What an encouragement they were to us! Thank you.

Such a great group with nearly all of our seats used!

We had Neil from the Council who is an incredible Community Outreach Worker, with a real passion and experience in Adult Learning, come and share to us yesterday.

Neil runs a lot of groups across Stenhouse, Sighthill and Wester Hailes. If you would like to know what's on your doorstep and how you can try something new in 2023 it's never too late to try!

The legend on the LEFT is Nathanael. We were gutted to see him at his last Stenhouse Plug-In last Thursday.

Nathanael volunteered his time and sacrificed his own lunchtime break to come wash dishes, connect with folk from the community and occasionally cook some of the lunches.

We are very thankful for all that you've done for the Drop-In behind the scenes - thank you. We wish you all the best for what 2023 has in store for you, Nathanael.

What an amazing time yesterday where we had up to 25 people at Stenhouse Plug-In, joined by the legendary Rebecca from B Healthy and Graeme from ChangeWorks.

We are thrilled that Rebecca will be cooking a delicious and nutritional meal every couple of weeks!

If you are ever interested to find out what's on your doorstep in Stenhouse, then come along and get plugged in! We will be having more local organisations sharing their great work in the community.

Come join us at Stenhouse Plug-In at Midday for a warm lunch this Thursday 12th!

We are delighted to be working in partnership with local organisations, such as 'B Healthy Together', who are kindly cooking a delicious meal free of charge!

But the gift keeps on giving...

ChangeWorks will also be making a Guest appearance to give you some FREE in person advice to save money on your winter bills. Graeme and the team will be rbing a stall with some resources.

This for anyone and everyone ! Midday at Stenhouse Baptist Church: 30 Stenhouse Grove, EH11 3EE.

This week, on Thursday 12th January, we will be supporting the "Lunchtime Plug-In" meal at Stenhouse Parish Church, which runs from 12pm-2pm.

We will be cooking up a hearty, warming lunch and we would love for you to pop in to share it with us.

A few days before Christmas we hosted a Christmas meal for anyone and everyone in the legendary Stenhouse community! We had up to 40 people join us - what an afternoon it was. Please join us again.

We will be kicking off again this Thursday at the usual time at midday to cook a warm lunchtime meal.

As usual, we will be inviting neighbouring and local organisations that are doing great things in the community to come and share what they are doing.
- Find community and get plugged into the great community of Stenhouse! Anyone is welcome.

Next week on the 1st of December we have our COMMUNITY FOCUS. This is when we invite a local organisation to come and share about the work they do in the city.

We're delighted to have Catriona from 'Health All Round' to come and share what great work they are doing...
