First performed in 1997 this astonishing concerto with three movements was commissioned to mark 1600 years since St Ninian, the first bishop of Whithorn, arrived in Gallway. In this recital, the original orchestral part has been transcribed for organ by Jack Oades, Master of Music at St Giles' Cathedral, Edinburgh with Calum Robertson playing clarinet. We're kicking off our Festival programme tomorrow! With lots of music, drama and art for the rest of the month.

And tomorrow at 3:30pm, don't forget Ringing Out the Changes - a one-off performance of this very special show, premiered at last year's Festival, written and performed by Jo Clifford and the Cathedral's superb bell-ringers. “Clifford is a beguiling storyteller” **** (All Edinburgh Theatre).
