Great morning in the garden with the Holy Cross Little Seeds group for young families, planting, watering and growing! Then we all lit candles in the church and spoke about what we'd enjoyed this morning 🌿🌼🪏💦🕯️🙂

The Julian Meetings are a network of groups across the UK meeting to pray in silence. We are part of this network, and offer two opportunities each week to experience and discover more about the ancient Christian practice of silent meditation.

Really looking forward to this Pentecost celebration with so many different local churches, united, one body in Christ. Why not come along? The weather looks set to be fantastic!

Come down to the beach front at Silverknowes on Sunday 24 May at 3pm to join with local churches celebrating Pentecost in an outdoor service.

To mark Rogation Sunday at Holy Cross we processed through the grounds to the vegetable and fruit gardens, where we prayed for God's blessing on all that grows, and gave thanks for the gifts of rain and sunshine, and of community, remembering those places affected by extreme weather and by unfair systems of trade, where food is scarce, and people and communities go hungry. We then shared a simple lunch together and collected donations to mark the beginning of Christian Aid Week.

We had a wonderful time planting with 'Little Seeds' at Holy Cross this morning. No sign of our potato plants yet, but this second bed planted up with beautiful flowering plants will soon be a riot of colour!
We're meeting again next Friday, 15th May, at 9.30am. Meet at the far end of the car park at Holy Cross Church, Davidson's Mains. Pre-school children with an adult are very welcome!
