HAPPY EASTER TO ALL✝️ What a beautiful afternoon yesterday at the Easter fun day we raised a fantastic ! "£600" well done our lovely community 👏👏🐣
It was lovely to see everyone there, supporting and enjoying this event and those who gifted prizes, and donations, 🙏 and all the children enjoying the activities , Easter hunt, where they had to look for clues even taking the time to draw or fill in all the words and listening to the story of "Easter", and the reason for it🙏 which is sometimes lost in the Easter eggs, and rabbits 🐰🥚.
So big thank 👏you to Cathy Longsdale and Stephen for providing all the activities for the children and bringing the Easter story to the children 🙏,
Also another big thank you to all that helped on all the stalls and organised the event. Without all these people who work endlessly to, keep the church running and open, we would not be able to do this !👏

Parishioners may like to know at the Reverend Canon Kate Burgess, who was our Team Vicar from 2006 2011, will shortly be retiring from Saint Matthew Stretford in Manchester & moving to County Durham. Kate came to us from a curacy in Hessle, after having been one of the Whitby nuns (The Order of the Holy Paraclete). I'm sure you will want to keep Kate in your prayers as she prepares for her retirement after 15 years in Manchester.
