SUNDAY SERVICES | May 31st

10.30am – when we do something wrong, we often come out with excuses. ‘I was tired. I wasn’t feeling myself. I was having a bad day’. But on Judgement Day every mouth will be silenced. No excuses, no defence. And that is why Jesus is our biggest need – for all of us. That is the message of the next bit of Romans (3:9-20). Do join us to find out more.

7.00pm – at our evening service Steve is beginning a new series of two talks on ‘Relationship Matters’. This first one is on singleness. All of have been single; some of us are single at the moment; all of us know people who are single; and many of us who are not single now will be later in life. So this is an important issue for all of us to think through biblically. Do join us to find out more.

SUNDAY SERVICES | May 24th

10.30am – plenty of people think they will be okay on Judgement Day because they are religious. They identify as Christian, some just because they live in this country with its Christian heritage, others because they have been baptised or go regularly to church. But Romans 2:17-3:8 explains why religious rules and rituals cannot save anyone. Do join us as we continue our series in ‘Romans’. We’ll also be having Communion.

7.00pm – at our evening service we’re continuing our series on ‘The Gospel in Numbers’, with Tim Burden preaching. In this third one we are looking at ‘The Serpent’ (Numbers 21:4-9) and how this is fulfilled in the gospel (John 3:1-18).

SUNDAY SERVICES | May 17th

10.30am – some people appear to be good, decent folk. They have high standards and are appalled by the immorality they see in society today. Do they really need the gospel, or are they okay as they are? How will it go for them on Judgement Day? Do join us as we look at the answer in Romans 2:1-16.

7.00pm – at our evening service we are continuing our series on ‘The Gospel in Numbers’, with Tim Burden preaching. In this second one we are looking at ‘The Rock’ (Numbers 20:1-13) and how this is fulfilled in the gospel (John 4:5-13).

SUNDAY SERVICES | May 10th

10.30am – Is being good good enough? Is it good enough for God? Good enough to get us right with him? That is the question we are exploring this Sunday morning, as Martin Povey speaks on Isaiah 6:1-8 at our all-age guest service. Do invite others along!

7.00pm – at our evening service we are beginning a series of three sermons by Tim Burden on ‘The Gospel in Numbers’ – that is to say, in the Old Testament book of Numbers! In this first one the focus is ‘The Manna’ and how this is fulfilled in the gospel.

SUNDAY SERVICES | May 3rd

10.30am – none of us are getting any younger. And although every stage of life has its joys and challenges, getting older brings particular challenges, as our bodies slow down and feel the years. How do we not lose heart? Do join us as Marcus preaches on 2 Corinthians 4:16-5:1. And at this Bible by the Beach special we are delighted to be joined by Rebecca McLaughlin who will be interviewed by Glen. We expect to be a bit busier than usual, so do squeeze up in the pews!

Please note that there is NO 7PM SERVICE this Sunday. Instead we will be going along to the BBtB Sunday Evening Celebration in the Congress Theatre at 7.15pm.

To all those attending or serving at BBtB – have a fantastic weekend!

And just a reminder that this weekend is the final Sunday for giving to our Gift Day Appeal to raise £20,000 for unbudgeted needs. The leaflet on the Welcome Desk gives details.
