we wrapped up our last Wednesday Refresh of the summer season last week, we want to send a massive thank you to our incredible volunteers who helped out and to everyone who made it so special! We truly couldn't do it without you.
We are currently taking some time behind the scenes to look over, reflect, and plan an amazing new program for the upcoming academic year. If you've been thinking about joining us in the future, it's a great time to keep an eye out for what’s coming next!

Hands on Hope: A Way to Connect this Sunday!

This Sunday, our partnership service features Hands on Hope, a space for all ages to reflect through craft. You’ll find our activity table at the front of the church. Focusing on stained glass, reflecting on how God takes the broken pieces of our lives and binds them together into something strong and beautiful. As you create, meditate on Psalm 86: Show your strength", for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.

The Church of England has apologised for its role in historical adoption practices, particularly in mother and baby homes. Mothers and adoptees who came into contact with these homes have described the profound and lasting impact of these experiences.

We are delighted to announce that our dear Rhylva Holder has been awarded the Order of St Richard, which will be conferred on her in September at the Cathedral.

Only ten lay people per archdeaconry are granted the award each year and Rhylva's many years of quiet work and care on the fabrics of the church and her annual organising of Christmas gift boxes among several other endeavours has been recognised by the Diocese of Chichester.

Rhylva is both delighted and humbled by the news. Please do congratulate her and give thanks for her in your prayers.

The Order of St Richard Awards were launched in 2019 by Bishop Martin Warner to recognise exceptional Christian service in deaneries, parishes and communities. Each recipient is nominated by their parish clergy and one other supporting person.

The Order of St Richard is an annual award for lay people which recognises and celebrates exceptional contributions to the parish, its congregations and local
community, and the diocese. Ten people from each Archdeaconry will be nominated for the award every year. In selecting candidates for nomination clergy and lay sponsors are encouraged to draw upon people from a range of different backgrounds and ages. An award ceremony will take place annually in the autumn in the Cathedral at which the Bishop will confer upon those nominated the Order of St Richard.

✋🌌 Hands On Hope – Today at St Peter’s Church!

Join us during the 10:30 am service as we create a night‑sky craft inspired by Romans 4:13–25.

We’ll be exploring how Abraham trusted God’s promise, using chalk and star stickers to make our own starry skies. It’s a peaceful, creative way for children and adults to reflect on faith and God’s promises together.
