A huge thank you to everyone who made this year's PARCHE-The church in care homes Strawberry Tea Event such a wonderful success! We were delighted to welcome so many care homes and residents.

Above all, we give thanks to God for Who He is, for His blessing, provision, and the joy of bringing so many people together for such a special afternoon.

Our heartfelt thanks to the ensamble from the Eastbourne Concert Orchestra, who delighted us with their wonderful repertoire throughout the afternoon, and to Major Ralph Walker from The Salvation Army United Kingdom for sharing a timely reminder of God's love for each one of us, uniquely created in His image.

Thank you to Victoria Baptist Church for so generously allowing us to use their beautiful building and setting it all up with us, and to their wonderful catering team for serving such delicious scones, strawberries, and tea.

Thank you to our amazing volunteers, trustees, and team, whose hard work and dedication made this day possible. Finally, thank you to each local care home staff for the love and care you show each resident every day. Thank you for working so hard to organise transport and support residents so they could join with friends from other local care homes for this special afternoon. It is a privilege to walk alongside you, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment and partnership.

🍓☕️🎻 We've been busy making the final preparations to welcome local care home residents and care home staff to our Annual PARCHE-The church in care homes Strawberry Tea Event.

It's shaping out to be a wonderful afternoon together enjoying delicious scones with cream and jam, fresh strawberries and plenty of tea, while being entertained by an ensemble from the Eastbourne Concert Orchestra.

We'll also hear a short, engaging Bible reflection from Major Ralph Walker of The Salvation Army, who will be using memorable illusions to share an encouraging message.

If your care home hasn't yet responded, please RSVP by Monday at midday latest so we can make sure everyone is warmly welcomed and catered for.

What a busy day we've had! We enjoyed a wonderful Hymn Sing-Along at The Hawthorns, Dorley house Residential Care Home and Le Brun Care Home across various teams.

Together we sang timeless hymns, reflected on their meaning and how they point us to Christ. There was also plenty of time for warm conversation and fellowship! God is good. Thanking our Lord for His Goodness.

PARCHE-The church in care homes is grateful to the volunteers from partner churches and to the residents for welcoming us and allowing us to share these times together.

A busy and joyful day at PARCHE-The church in care homes for our volunteer team at Healthcare Homes - Sovereign Lodge whilst another team visited Devonshire Nursing Home and Eastbourne Grange Residential Care Home.

Residents, staff and even visiting relatives enjoyed an afternoon of timeless traditional hymns, warm conversation, and reflections on God's goodness and faithfulness through every season of life. It's a privilege to share these special moments together and bring encouragement, fellowship, and the hope of the Gospel to those we visit.

Thank you to all our volunteers who give their time so generously.

We had the pleasure of joining the wonderful PARCHE-The church in care homes team at Queen Alexandra Cottage Homes yesterday. Grateful for their perseverance, love, and dedication in faithfully sharing the Good News of Jesus.

It was a joy to gather together and see the many ways everyone participates in the service. The sense of community and fellowship was truly heartwarming.

We were also delighted to invite residents to our Summer Strawberry Tea on 14th July and look forward to seeing many familiar faces there!

Thank you to everyone who faithfully serves month after month. Your ministry makes a real difference, and we praise God for all that He is doing through you.

Today we had the pleasure of attending the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Linking Lives Eastbourne
It was a really encouraging event, filled with stories of friendship, connection, and the meaningful difference that regular visits can make to people experiencing loneliness or isolation.

We were inspired by the work being done and the commitment shown by so many individuals and organisations who are helping to strengthen community life in such a practical and compassionate way.
Congratulations on reaching this wonderful milestone and on a decade of faithful service.

At PARCHE-The church in care homes, we value and care deeply about every person, recognising each one as God’s wonderful and very good creation, made with dignity, purpose, and worth.
