Sussex Martyrs Memorial LOL 398 We are one of the oldest Loyal Orange Lodges in England. In March 2020 we relocated from the county town of Lewes in East Sussex to Eastbourne.

LOL 398 Sussex Martyrs Memorial was formed in 1895, originally named Lewes Martyrs Memorial and is the oldest Orange Lodge in the South of England. LOL 398 relocated from Lewes to Eastbourne in 2020 where it is now based. The Lodge was formed to commemorate the 36 Sussex Martyrs who were killed for not giving up their Protestant Faith during the reign of Bloody Mary in the period 1555-1557. Our members are committed to keeping their memory alive as well as upholding the Protestant Faith, The Constitution of our Country and Civil and Religious Liberties for all. We remain Faithful Unto Death. Racism and sectarianism will not be tolerated and those responsible will be reported.
