ARE YOU INTERESTED IN OUR LOCAL HERITAGE?

The Pilgrims & Prophets heritage tours community project was formed from people at our church about ten years ago. They host a number of American visitors every year and take them around Babworth, Scrooby etc. At the moment two people share this work on an occasional basis but they would be interested in training someone else up who could learn the trade.

It is the sort of thing that would suit a recently retired person who enjoys history and is keen to get engaged with Mayflower Pilgrims heritage. Ideally you would also be interested in the effect that faith has on people's lives - it is difficult to understand the Pilgrims without this!

You would be paid on an hourly rate linked to the number of visitors in the group and need to be able to drive. This is very much an occasional thing, but it is also very enjoyable.

WHAT IS A CHURCH?

I think this is just about the most profound explanation I have ever seen! Church is not something you 'go to', it is something you are PART OF! You just need to work out what part you are....

All the parts help and support each other, and all have different contributions to make.

For those coming to Church on Sunday, we have a plentiful supply of free sandwiches etc for lunch after a booking today that ordered too much. So come for both spiritual and physical feeding !
