After two wonderful years of collaboration, St Mary's Church and Foxhall & Flour have made the decision to bring our collaboration to a close.
As you may be aware Natasha has welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world and has taken the decision to take a little bit of time to be with her family for the time being.
Over the past two years, there have been countless coffees poured, conversations shared, friendships formed, and many happy moments around the soft-play. We are incredibly grateful for all that this collaboration has been and for the community that has grown through it.
Below is a word from Natasha about the amazing achievements made over our time together:
'Our focus at Foxhall & Flour was always to create a community and we feel we achieved that with the help of all our lovely customers, from the bottom of our hearts thank you for all your support. We provided close to £1500 of free hot meals and drinks to anyone struggling to make ends meet within our community. We launched the Carer Project, offering free food and drink to the Carers companions and 10% Off for the Carer, who do such wonderful jobs. This was all done with the help of Warm Hub grants provided by Elmbridge Council. We hosted weekly and monthly community based projects; Children's Lunches, Womens Breakfast Gatherings, Elderly Crafting Afternoon Teas, Whist Afternoon Teas and aided St Mary's to host Church led projects such as Alpha Courses, Bereavement Support, Messy Vintage, Little Moles and CBS Meetings. We supported women in business as a main goal by hosting them in our cafe whether it was nutritional advice for new mothers, magic shows for toddlers, woodland learning, pony rides, pilates for mums and babies, pottery painting, crafting for all ages or paper flower making.
Last year also saw us collaborate closely with Mind Charity by hosting their monthly Ramblers with coffees and a quick bite to eat on their travels, allowing them the space to rest and connect. Raising close to £2000 for charities; Home Start Elmbridge, St Mary's, Growing Hope and the Royal British Legion via our successful and well attended Seasonal Music Sessions. A special thank you to Haven Harvest Blooms ( DM for cut flower enquiries), a mother from our community who started a sustainable cut flower business from a local allotment. Suzanna kindly donated all the beautiful blooms you will have seen on our cafe tables throughout the year. We became a refuge for new mothers and families in connection with Home Start Elmbridge, who regularly introduced our cafe and community to aid in their valuable support. All of which have brought so many connections, beauty, laughter and kindness through our doors and into our hearts, we will cherish every moment shared.'
As this chapter comes to an end, we do so with real gratitude and mutual respect, wishing Foxhall & Flour every success. Foxhall & Flour will continue to provide catering, freshly baked cakes and granola for delivery. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with Natasha via [email protected] or www.foxhallandflour.com if you have any requests, supplier details or enquiries.
Here at St Mary's, the building remains open, just as it has over the past couple of months, offering light refreshments, use of the community space, and the much-loved soft-play for children. While the current setup will remain in the short term, we're also looking ahead with excitement to new endeavours and changes that will be taking shape over time.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey with us, we're so thankful for all that's been shared, and we look forward to what's next for both Foxhall & Flour and St Mary's.
