What a joy that one of those who joined our Christianity Explored course last year was baptised today on profession of her faith in Christ.

After this week Community Cuppa will break for the holiday season. It has been a blessed and fun session, filled with lots of biscuits, baking, laughs, games, crafts, jigsaws and relationship building. It hasn’t all been relaxing though, there has been the challenge of team work while building furniture, a paper tower competition, and the most challenging Star Wars jigsaw to date which may well last long into 2025!!
Many thanks to all those who remember this gathering in prayer, and who commit time and energy. The Lord has blessed our church family and community.

As we come closer to the end of another year, looking back at the months now passed, it’s easy to allow discouragement and frustration to rule our thoughts and direct our feelings. Especially as we serve Christ’s church in a broken, hard world. Remember each small thing has eternal significance in the hand of our powerful God, even if we don’t see any progress from our perspective. Look to Christ and his promises and his perspective, and take encouragement: God isn’t finished YET.

Philippians 1:3-6
I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

Community Cuppa starts back again this Thursday 2-4pm after our Summer break. Pass the Pigs and Chess seemed to be the most popular games before summer. Come along for a cuppa, company and fun. You might even learn a new game, find a recipe to try this week from the recipe book library, enjoy some crafts with the children and enjoy some craic with friends. That jigsaw is also waiting to be finished!

A little glimpse into some of what happens in the little kids space for those hands and feet that find it harder to stay through an entire service. We know this is a skill that sometimes takes some time to learn. Children of all ages are always welcome to stay in our entire service, but we also understand sometimes they need some space to make more noise and move freely. Most Sunday mornings the little ones work on joining in with our service with our first few songs of praise, prayer and kids talk. Then they enjoy some play together, stories, songs, colouring etc in the hall. And they are always ready for a biscuit when after church tea & coffee time rolls around!
