I saw this prayer and thought that it was a good way to start the day, so I decided to share it with my friends in Christ. I hope you like it.

When I was reading my devotions this morning they reminded me that of the need to listen more and speak less.
A lovely hymn came to mind that would be perfect to sing before starting to talk and I thought that I would share it with you this morning.

Be still and know that I am God

I have just read a verse in Micah 6:8 and it brought home to me simply what God expects of me so I thought that I would share it with you.
I hope it means as much to you as it did to me.

8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

During my devotions this morning the words of an old hymn came to mind and I wanted to share just a verse and chorus with you.

Tomorrow we come together as a church family to celebrate the Risen Christ
Hallelujah.
What a joyful service it will be.

As you come to church the Gate Cafe volunteers will be there to welcome you and serve you with filled breakfast rolls, scones and tea and coffee.

Very excited about tomorrow’s service.

My reading this morning was “The God of Broken Pieces”. It reminded me of the ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi where the artist takes broken, and useless, pieces of pottery and joins them together to make beautiful pieces of art.
It’s just like God takes our brokenness and with His Grace can transform us.
