Hi, this is Sue the Editor for the magazine here…
I wanted to highlight the BBC 500 words competition for 5-11 year olds. We have been lucky in the villages to have finalists in this competition in the past, so if you have creative little geniuses hiding behind the curtains, get them into the competition – it finishes soon (6th November) but has been running since September (so pop it in your diary for next year).

Any local child in the The Three Colnes area who submits their entry to us, we will publish in the Three Colne Parish magazine, [email protected] with an accompanying picture if they wish to add that too. This is subject to waiting for the announcement from the BBC of the finalists, and if any of you are lucky enough to become a finalist, we will wait until after the ceremony in February.
