We are delighted to share that St Bart’s has been awarded a grant from the Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust towards improvements to our church audio system and the restoration of the historic floor tiles.

These projects will help us preserve our beautiful church building while improving accessibility and the experience of worship, community events and concerts for all who visit.

We are incredibly grateful to Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust for their support and investment in the future of St Bart’s.

Thank you for helping us care for our church for generations to come.

Could you help make our Celebration of Summer extra special?

We’re looking for a volunteer face painter to join us for a few hours at our Summer Celebration on Saturday 18th July, 10am–2pm at St Bart’s Church.

It’s always a favourite with the children and would help bring even more smiles to the day!

If you’d be happy to help, please message us or email [email protected]

Thank you for supporting this community event!

Could you help make Families@StBart’s even more special?

We’re always looking for people who would love to get involved, whether that’s:
📖 Telling a story
🎨 Helping with crafts
🍞 Bringing cake or helping with food
☕ Setting up or welcoming families
💡 Sharing new ideas and encouragement

You don’t need any special experience, just a willingness to help create a warm and welcoming space for local families.

Every little bit of help makes a difference and we’d love to hear from you if you’d like to be part of it.

Come and discover what’s living inside!

As part of our Churchyard Eco Project, local groups have been creating bug houses to help support local wildlife and some are already in place around St Bart’s Churchyard!

These little habitats provide shelter for all sorts of fascinating creatures, from ladybirds and bees to woodlice, spiders and much more. 🐝🕷️🍃

Next time you’re passing by, take a closer look and see what you can spot.

These are the beginnings of our bug houses, intentionally placed within the churchyard to help create small ecosystems and encourage wildlife to flourish in quiet corners of this special space.

Filled with sticks, leaves, bark and natural materials, they provide shelter for insects and make wonderful places for children (and adults!) to explore and enjoy a little mini beast hunting.

We would love these to grow over time, so please do feel welcome to add to them whenever you visit, a few twigs, pinecones, bark or dry leaves can all help create a haven for nature.

These benches are here for everyone, whether you come to reflect, remember, pray, rest or simply pause for a while in the beauty and peace of the churchyard.

Introducing the Prayer Tree at St Bart’s.

As you come into church, you’ll now find the new Prayer Tree, a quiet space where anyone can leave a prayer, thought, hope or reflection.

Simply write your prayer on one of the tags and hang it on the tree. These requests will then be held in prayer during our Wednesday service.

You don’t need to attend church regularly to leave a prayer request. This space is here for the whole community for moments of joy, worry, gratitude, hope or remembrance.

Whether you visit often or are just passing through, you are always welcome to pause, reflect and leave a prayer.
